Michael Wolter · AWEX
A family business since 1984
The hand-held AWEX carton-stripper with a continuous toothed chain was invented by graduate engineer Dipl.-Ing. Helmut Wolter.
Angelika Wolter led the family business as owner and managing director from 1984 to 2008. Since Michael Wolter took over in 2008, the family business has been run by the second generation.
AWEX-T3 and AWEX-T4 joined the range in 2024. Current tools use Atlas Copco pneumatic motors. Earlier T2 models are no longer available, but repairs and spare parts support continue.
Regional manufacturing and long service life
We and specialist companies in our region produce most components and carry out laser cutting, milling, turning, welding, hardening, chrome plating and painting. Purchased components originate in the EU. Many components have remained unchanged for decades, supporting long-term spare parts availability and repairability of older tools.
We are proud to have manufactured our AWEX tools in Germany since 1984. We have worked with many of our regional suppliers and manufacturing partners for decades. This supports the local economy and combines experience with high-quality workmanship and durable products. These long-standing partnerships also provide a reliable foundation for spare parts support, extending over decades for many tools.
We also assess suitable repair or conversion options for earlier generations individually. Please provide the model designation and tool details.
